Our Story
FreePDFApp was built out of frustration with the state of online PDF tools. Too many services hide basic features behind paywalls, require account signups to perform simple tasks, or quietly upload your files to servers with unclear data retention policies. We set out to build something different: a comprehensive suite of PDF tools that is genuinely free, genuinely fast, and genuinely respectful of your privacy.

Technology
FreePDFApp leverages modern web technologies to deliver the best possible experience. Our client-side tools are powered by WebAssembly (Wasm), which allows complex PDF processing to happen directly in your browser at near-native speeds. This means your files are processed on your own device and never need to be uploaded anywhere.
For operations that require server-side processing, we use encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) to protect your files in transit, and all uploaded files are automatically deleted within 1 hour of processing.
Privacy-First Approach
Privacy is not an afterthought at FreePDFApp — it is a core design principle. We engineered as many tools as possible to run entirely in your browser so that your documents never touch our servers. We do not read, analyze, or store your files. We do not require personal information to use our tools. We believe that using a PDF tool should not mean giving up control over your own data.
